Who does God say you are?

“You’re an IDIOT !”

The words hit deep and hard in the heart of my precious seven-year old.

 

I saw his pain and recognised it for what it was. This was one of those important moments in parenting. The kind you don’t want to stuff up. A pivotal learning opportunity… and I prayed I’d have the right words to say.

 

The words that bubbled out of my mouth ended up surprising even me! It was certainly a teachable moment … but what I wasn’t expecting was that the lesson was intended for me, and YOU too !

My Fertility journey with Poly Cystic Ovaries (PCO)

Well we FINALLY got here! Twelve weeks pregnant today! Woo Hoo! Baby number three! I am so amazed and feel so very very blessed. This has been a tiresome journey (but totally worth the wait of course). Today I would like to share with you a bit about this journey and my struggles with getting pregnant due to Poly Cystic Ovaries, and basically why I am especially super excited and thankful for this precious gift of life.

‘Church’ as defined by me!

There can be a bit of stigma around the word ‘church’. It summons very different images and feelings in people’s minds. Some are good and some are quite terrifying.

 

‘Church’ is much more than a description of a building to me. I go to a large church service each Sunday but it’s with a small group of women who gather each Monday night in my home where, what I describe as ‘church’ truly unfolds.

 

Todays post is a reflection one evening after a typical nights experience.

Hand reaching out

He is calling me forward

It’s that time of year, the routine of life has begun. Holidays are over, the kids are off to school and stay at home mums (like me) are deciding how to spend their days with their little ones for the term. Which playgroup to go to, when to clean or do groceries and how to spend my time generally.

 

For me though, it’s much more than that, it’s this time of year that I find I want to launch into those things that I feel God is calling me to spend my time and focus on this year. I am refreshed from the fun of Christmas and New Year festivities and longing for routine and getting into life and all that 2015 has to offer.
