This Wednesday night my family had a really special opportunity to join a church for their “Stroll through Bethlehem” outreach event by posing as Mary and Joseph with our seven week old baby girl wrapped up as baby Jesus. The whole experience came to life for me in a surprising way that has helped me realise how much we, as mums, can relate to Mary and be thankful for what God has done for us.

‘Church’ as defined by me!

There can be a bit of stigma around the word ‘church’. It summons very different images and feelings in people’s minds. Some are good and some are quite terrifying.

 

‘Church’ is much more than a description of a building to me. I go to a large church service each Sunday but it’s with a small group of women who gather each Monday night in my home where, what I describe as ‘church’ truly unfolds.

 

Todays post is a reflection one evening after a typical nights experience.

I am married 11 years today! Here are some words of hope to a struggling wife

Today I wish to write to the wife out there who is struggling in her marriage. The woman who feels stuck, trapped and hopeless and wondering if the time has come to call it quits and cut her losses and leave. You feel like you have tried everything you can think of. You are emotionally drained and are no longer even sure if you ever were truly in love.

 

Today I want to say to the struggling, emotionally drained wife that

there is hope.
